We invite you to participate in the 8th edition of the CELE workshop, “Toward Better Internet Regulation in Latin America.” This year, more than ever, it’s important to understand our digital rights, what happens to data from tracking apps, the issue of misinformation, the overhaul of social media security policies, the Trump-Twitter feud, the Trump-Facebook feud, Facebook vs. Twitter, and the internet arena, which increasingly resembles a Roman colosseum. We’ll have four modules spread over 15 days. There will be background material on the cases we’ll be discussing, which you can access by visiting our website; you’ll find it under the #CELE20 tab. This year we have speakers from various parts of Latin America, including Agustina Del Campo, Director of CELE; Carlos Cortés and Luisa Isaza from Colombia; and María Paz Canales and Ramiro Álvarez Ugarte. To apply, click on the following link: https://bit.ly/2A4jOOK. You have until July 24 to apply. On August 3, we’ll notify those who have been selected, and the tab to access the materials will be enabled. And on August 10, we look forward to seeing you for a very special workshop.
