Robert Gorwa
Robert is a researcher at the WZB Berlin Social Science Center, where he studies the political economy of platform governance. He holds a DPhil in Politics from the University of Oxford and is the author of The Politics of Platform Regulation: How Governments Shape Online Content Moderation (Oxford University Press, 2024), a book on the formal and informal ways governments shape online content moderation. He took part in CELE’s online symposium on regulatory threats with the post “Political Capital and Informal Platform Governance”, and in CELE’s 2024 seminar series.
