Paddy Leerssen

Paddy is a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Information Law (IViR) at the University of Amsterdam, where he completed a PhD on platform governance. His work covers recommender system transparency, content moderation, and the implementation of the European Digital Services Act, on which he writes regularly for the DSA Observatory. He took part in CELE’s online symposium on regulatory threats with the post “Jawboning and lawboning: comparing platform-state relations in the US and Europe”, where he drew the distinction between American jawboning and European lawboning.
